Jacki Semerau
The 2011-2012 school year is led by instructor Jacki Semerau. Jacki has an extensive dance background. Beginning ballet at the age of 4, Jacki fell in love with dance. She has danced with such companies as Rhonda's School of Dance, School of Ballet Arizona, and others. Dance with a concentration in choreography was her major in college. Her teaching credits include Rhonda's School of Dance, Dance and Gymnastics for Children, and Creative Concepts. The choreography credit Jacki is most proud of is STAAR Night, a Broadway level fundraising show for the HUTCH Fund, 2007-2010.
As an instructor for the Jr. High elective at a Private Christian School, Jacki incorporates her love for God and her love of dance. She is focused on teaching the students dance basics and genres, and then showing them how the art of dance can be used to glorify Christ.
"I recognize that teaching the students dance steps, knowledge, and discipline is only part of my role. God is using me to help shape each student's character through the art of dance. It's an honor and a privilege to work with such amazing kids everyday."
